Swiggy will not take your restaurant live without a valid FSSAI number. Here is which one you need, how to get it, and how to make sure it is accepted the first time.
Tell us about your business and we will call you back
Swiggy accepts any valid FSSAI approval, as long as it is the right one for your business. It does not ask for a higher tier than the law does.
| Your kitchen | Annual turnover | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Home kitchen, small cloud kitchen, cafe or restaurant | Up to ₹1.5 crore | Basic Registration |
| Larger restaurant or multi-brand kitchen | ₹1.5 crore to ₹50 crore | State License |
| Very large food business | Above ₹50 crore | Central License |
Each kitchen address needs its own approval. If you run two outlets on Swiggy, each listing needs the FSSAI number of the kitchen it ships from.
Use the exact legal name and kitchen address you will give Swiggy. Choose food service as the kind of business.
Once granted, download the certificate. Keep a clear PDF or photo ready.
In the partner sign-up, enter the FSSAI number and upload the certificate along with PAN, bank details and menu.
Swiggy checks the number against FSSAI records and compares name and address with your listing.
After approval, your FSSAI number appears on your restaurant page for customers to see.
Pay the annual FSSAI fee on time. A suspended license can take your listing offline.
We ask for your Swiggy listing details before filing, so the certificate matches from the start.
